Different ways to discover the world.

It's summer time. eternal days that other countries, other cultures, other ways of understanding life and the world invite you to discover. A few hours by plane, the twenty-first century has a different face. The great adventure of our age is to eliminate borders. This concern stems from a fact printed in human DNA. The starting point of our species is nomadic. You move in search of livelihood was the first stage. Then came the naval trade and land conquests. Religious pilgrimages determined the medieval period and modern empires thanks to the great expeditions were built. With the Enlightenment came the journey of scientific and artistic learning and initiatory experiences for young British aristocrats in Italy and Greece. The so-called Grand Tour became elitist history of modern tourism.

I travel for travel as pure pleasure, won as progress was gaining strength in the nineteenth century. The Industrial Revolution was a prelude to the great transformations of transport. The advent of the railway, the development of the cruise, the advent of the automobile and commercial aviation ls depegue marked a turning point in the world of travel. The social conquests did the rest. In 1936 the France of the Popular Front institituyo paid holidays. Shortly after, they premiered totalitarian regimes summer programs for the people. But mass tourism was consolidated after the war. In the last fifty years, this sector, with increasing demand, has been able to launch competitive bids. Formulas such as low cost have enabled access to increasingly broad social layers. Traveler profile also varied hs. Not only in terms of destinations, but also with respect to interest. A espsrcimiento trips and cultural ecotourism have joined expeditions or solidarity. When the German writer Theodor Fontane exclaiming the mid-nineteenth century: "Everyone travels", he referred to his circle of gentry. Today, this slogan has become, at least in a collective desire.
